Learn from a certified ACE Massage Cupping & MediCupping educator at this in-person workshop that introduces cupping therapy techniques using an electronic vacuum therapy machine. This workshop contains both level 1 and level 2 over four days and is suitable for beginners.

This workshop will introduce and build on the foundations forged by the Level 1 workshops that we have been offering nationally since 2001. While Level 1 focuses on learning the techniques, movements, applications and safety, Level II will take this knowledge and build upon it to position the practitioner “within the treatment cup.” As is the tradition in our workshops, students will experience intensive hands-on exposure to the techniques that are presented.

Our Level 2 workshops are a fusion of approaches using ACE Massage Cupping™ bodywork techniques and concepts to create individual protocols for clients with specific conditions. Special attention will be dedicated to the lymphatic system due to the intensive tissue dredging that characterizes the Massage Cupping™ bodywork technique.

Participants will present a case synopsis of either a single or group client study devoted to a particular health imbalance or condition.

Martha Graham has practiced in Ohio and Tennessee. She is the founder of Uplift Bodyworks LLC, just outside of Chattanooga, TN. Martha began her health career with a certification in Massage Therapy in 2003 from Healing Arts Institute in Perrysburg, OH and later obtained a degree in Physical Therapy Assisting in 2012 from the Professional Skills Institute in Toledo, Ohio.

Martha discovered cupping while researching techniques in the hopes of marrying massage therapy and physical therapy. Martha first met Anita J. Shannon in 2013 while taking her first cupping course. The encounter changed the way she thought about the body, and ultimately altered the trajectory of her career and life. Martha has years of clinical cupping experience and is very knowledgeable in the application of various techniques and cupping equipment. Martha is eager to further the development of cupping as a therapeutic modality and has a passion for teaching and assisting therapists in both massage therapy and physical therapy to provide the best evidence-based techniques to benefit their patients.
