ACE VacuTherapies Level 2

This three-day workshop will build on the foundation forged by the Level 1 workshops that we have been offering nationally since 2001. While Level 1 ACE Massage Cupping™ and MediCupping™ workshops focus on learning the techniques, movements, applications, and safety, Level 2 will take this knowledge and build upon it to truly position the practitioner “within the treatment cup” along with integrating a more intense scrutiny of hydration issues in the “body of water”.

ACE VacuTherapies Level 2 serves as a higher-level course for both ACE Massage Cupping and MediCupping.

Prerequisites:

• Any in-person level 1 ACE workshop
  • ACE Massage Cupping Level 1
  • ACE Massage Cupping Two-Day & MediCupping Two-Day
  • MediCupping Level 1
  • Lymphatic Balancing & ACE Massage Cupping Intensive

The Level 2 workshop is a honing of assessment skills using specific evaluation criteria, along with ACE VacuTherapies™ techniques and concepts to create individual protocols for clients with acute and chronic conditions. Special attention is dedicated to the review of bio-magnetic theory and applications, along with a review of the lymphatic system to address the intensive tissue dredging that characterizes vacuum therapy.

Participants may choose to present a case synopsis or client study devoted to a particular health imbalance or condition.

Doug E. Rasmusson has been a trainer with ACE Massage Cupping since 2014. Doug E. has been around since the inception of Massage Cupping, having been a partner with Anita Shannon in Advanced Continuing Education until his move to France. He was Anita’s subject body for the early years of Massage Cupping.

While in the United States, Doug E.’s main practice was with emergency response massage, having been the FL-AMTA state coordinator for the Massage Emergency Response Team (MERT) until his move to North Carolina in 1997. He was approached by the North Carolina Office of Emergency Response to form a massage team to work alongside the NC Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team. The Carolina Emergency Response Massage Team (CERMT) responded to New York City, following 9/11, Hurricane Katrina and many other statewide disasters. He formed Emergency Response Massage International (ERMI) in 2005 and had their first deployment to Mississippi and Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina.

He lives in Provence, France with his wife Sylvie Grosjean-Rasmusson, where they run seminars on health and wellbeing, including Level 2 and MediCupping, with Anita J. Shannon traveling there to teach the courses.

Sylvie Grosjean-Rasmusson, MD, ND, has been teaching Massage Cupping Levels 1 & 2 with her husband Doug E. Rasmusson, for the past 7 years. Sylvie is a medical doctor and a naturopathic doctor in France. Born of a Yoga teacher father and a naturopathic mother, she had never visited a doctor before she decided to become one to integrate western medicine with naturopathic medicine. She was an emergency doctor for 15 years and is now head of the Public Health Department at the hospital in Semur-en-Auxois, Burgundy, where she has worked for 30 years. Her specialty is teaching naturopathy students the practice of Massage Cupping along with doing workshops on raw food preparation, fasting and detox programs.

Sylvie is Anita’s translator for the Massage Cupping Level 3 program, introduced in 2017 in Provence, France.
